Une histoire renversante que celle de l'Aston Martin Heart of Racing.
Bien qualifiée, à la cinqième place du GT3, la belle bleue roulera à son rythme durant 12 Heures naviguant entre la 6 et la 10eme place avant de se retrouver cinquième à cinq heures du matin. Elle se battra ensuite pour la troisième place.
Malheureusement au cours de la 18eme heure, à l'approche du gauche d'Indianapolis, voulant cécer le passage à un groupe d'hypercars, la voiture se décalera sur la gauche et sera déstabilisée par une zone humide en plein freinage. L'Aston ira
alors percuter la pile de pneu à l'intérieur du virage qui la fera décoller et retomber lourdement sur le toit après une impressionnante cabriole. Fort heureusement, le pilote sortira rapidement indemme de l'habitacle de sa voiture mais il n'était plus question de continuer.
What an reversing story when thinking about the week of the Aston Martin Heart of Racing.
After good qualifications (the car set the 5th time in LM GT3), the n°27 kept its own pace during the first twelve hours, cruising between the tenth and the sixth place of the category, before catching the fifth at 5 in the morning. It would fight then for the podium.
Unfortunately, during the 18th hour, while braking towards the Indianapolis left corner, the driver moved to the left to allow a pack of hypercar overtake him and the car was unsettled by a damp zone. The Aston was then throwed into the stack of tyres inside the corner and the impact send the blue car in the sky.
It will fall back on the roof in a big crash after an anstounding capriole. The driver was lucky enough to escape safe from the Aston but it was the end of its race.
