Bien qu'engagée comme une écurie privée, la Ferrari F499P n°83 a démontrée être au niveau des officielles n°50 et 51. Relativement discrets aux qualifications, Kubica, Shwartzman et Ye sont vite venus aux avants postes en occupant la seconde place dès la deuxième heure avant de prendre la tête à 19 heures et tenir cette position jusqu'à 23 heures. Mais la voiture sera pénalisée par un Stop and Go pour avoit poussé et fait abandonner la BMW n°15. Redescendue au sixième rang, la Ferrari Jaune rattrapera très progressivement son retard, occupant la seconde place autour de 11h du matin. Malheureusement, le circuit électrique provoquera ensuite l'abandon de la voiture, dans un impressionnant nuage de fumée blanche.
Despite it was entered as a private entry, the Ferrari n°83 showed to be as good as the officials n°50 and 51. Quite discrete during the practices, Kubica, Shwartzman andt Ye were quickly back to the front of the pack, taking the second place at 6 p.m. and leading the race from 7 to 11 p.m. in front of all the official cars. Unfortunately, one of its drivers pushed the BMW n°15 out of the track, making it to withdraw. As a result, the Ferrari n°83 had a Stop & go penalty which pushed it back to the 6th place. The yellow Ferrari recovered then slowly and was able to be second overall at 11 a.m. Just after that, the car was back to the pits with a huge white smoke comming from its electrical devices and the car had to withdraw.
