Chaque année, les voitures des Iron Dames se battent pour une victoire ou une belle place, et chaque année elles sont victimes d'incidents extérieurs. Il faut croire que les filles sont maudites au Mans car 2025 n'épargnera pas non plus Celia Martin, Rahel Frey et Sarah Bovy.
Clairement pas à la recherche d'un chrono lors des qualifs, ces dames partent du fond de la grille et malgré un contact avec la Ferrari n°21 durant la deuxième heure elles passent au travers des nombreux Drive Through et autres pénalités du début de course si bien qu'on
les retrouve bonnes quatrièmes du LMGT3 à vingt heures. La soirée puis la nuit seront moins festives mais la n°85 restera toujours dans, ou aux portes du top ten. Quand samedi s'efface pour laisser la place à dimanche, la 911 Iron Dames est neuvième puis remonte un à un ses
adversaires. Revenue au cinquième rang à 1 tour des leaders, alors que Rahel Frey est au volant, elle est percutée par la Lexus n°87 dans la deuxième chicane à 6h35. Le temps de rentrer aux stands et de réparer la boite qui a souffert durant l'accident, 6 tours, irratrapables,
sont perdus faisant plonger la Porsche dans les abysses du classement. C'est finalement bonnes dernières que Martin/Frey et Bovy passeront sous le drapeau à damiers.
Each year the Iron Dame car is fighting for the victory or a good place and each year they are handicaped by external events. We might believe the women are cursed at Le Mans because Celia Martin, Rahel Frey and Sarah Bovy were not spared by 2025.
Clearly not looking for the fastest lap in qualyfication, the Porsche n°85 started the race from the bottom of the grid, but despite a contact with the n°21 Ferrari during the second hour, since they were not affected by the various Drive Through and other penalties, we found them fourth
in class at 8 p.m. The evening and the beginning of the night were less successful but the ladies were always fighing strong to stay in the top ten. When saturday came out to give its place to sunday the Iron Dames Porsche was ninth, and started a strong come back. At 6h35 a.m. Rahel Frey is at the wheel
occupying the fith place, 1 lap behind the leader when she is pushed by the n°87 Lexus. Time go go back to the pits and repair the transmission damaged by this contact, 6 laps (which can not be recovered) are lost and when the n°85 is back on the track it is in the abyss of the ranking.
Finally, Martin/Frey and Bovy succed to finish at a deceptive last position.
